Today sees the start of the 11th annual Black Nights Film Festival (POFF) in Estonia. The largest film festival in the Baltics, this ten day event will showcase more than 200 films from around the globe – most of them with English subtitles.
There will be screenings in Tallinn, Tartu, Viljandi, Narva, Johvi and Kardla, and things kick off tonight in the capital with a concert by the Bill Nyman Band including pieces from his film scores. Programmes during the festival include Focus on South Korea and a series on human rights called Ordinary Hell.
