Apologies to anyone who has been trying to access Baltic Visitor – the server has been down for several hours. With luck I will have a chance to post something later today, although I am currently busy writing a box on Mark Rothko. The famous artist was born in the Latvian city of Daugavpils, but emigrated when he was ten years old.

Hi John, I discovered your site when reading the comments on Moeffju.net. I was wondering how you succeeded to make your tags work (tag/tagname). I’m using WP 2.2.1 and UTW 3.14 and when I click on a tag, it brings me back to my home page… What did you modify? Thanks for your help!

BTW, my grand-parents come from Estonia ;)

Hi Klim. To be honest, I can’t remember exactly what I did – it took a bit of tweaking. From what I remember though, I basically followed the instructions in the main post Moeffju, net (well, as much as I could – some of it didn’t seem to apply) then I clicked ‘update permalink structure’ in the permalinks option menu.

I don’t remember other details too clearly as I was trying to get another broken plugin working at the same time. Sorry I can’t be more help.

Interesting to hear that your grandparents are Estonian. Have you had an opportunity to visit?

So you did replace is_tag() I suppose? Are you using WP 2.2.1? I’ll do the trick and I hope it will work, I really need these tags… Thx a lot for your answer :)

About my grandparents, they don’t want to go back there and they’re not talking a lot about this country. This is sad but maybe one day I’ll go to Estonia by my own and be sure I’ll read your whole blog before going there ^^
