Born in Riga but living in Indiana for the past decade, Aleks has been blogging about his native country since 2003 – making All About Latvia the first English language blog dedicated to the country, and an excellent read for anyone interested in the Baltics. Now he has landed a job in Riga as a stringer for a news agency and today he posted the first dispatch in what promises to be an entertaining series of articles from the Latvian capital. His blog is usually centred around politics and other news, but this latest post is a first-person travelogue. He hasn’t gone much beyond the airport as yet, but it should be worth keeping an eye on what happens next.
